IMPACT - DEC 03 2019
Last year we donated 100 axol plushies to foster kids with special needs . This year we decided to increase our holiday impact with more plushies for the kids of New York city, and support for children in L.A. Learn more below!
On Saturday, November 16, 2019, we participated in a special event called Project Hollywood Helpers, a day of service where young performers, actors, and artists get together and to serve children patients of the Children’s Hospital of L.A. (CHLA).
Project Hollywood Helpers brings together kid celebrities from some of the hottest films and shows like A Dog’s Journey, When They See Us, This is Us, Dance Moms, Grey’s Anatomy, Family Reunion, Coop and Cami Ask the World, Sydney to the Max and more! These young artists spent their morning assembling 500 holiday gift bags for the patients of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
The event, produced by Hot Diggity Media, took place at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles and was hosted by YouTubers and actors, GEM Sisters: Giselle, Evangeline and Mercedes Lomelino.
We wanted to give a huge shout out to the event coordinators, brands, and especially the kid celebrities for making this event happen! We will make a separate thank you post soon with more info. In the mean time, remember that it’s better to give than to get - especially during the holiday season. Thank you.
We could not be more delighted and honored to partner with NAC again this year to provide holiday presents for children in the foster care/adoption system. We’ve sent more plushies this year in hopes that these little buddies might provide companionship and happiness to even more of the amazing kids NAC serves!
NAC, or New Alternatives for Children, is a leading foster care agency serving the special needs community in the heart of new york city. Last year we connected with NAC and were immediately drawn to their innovative, cutting-edge, and unique approach to caring for kids with special needs. That’s why we donated 100 plushies, and we are so happy to be able to now donate 150 this year.
